I was a bit worried about this, and having spoken to some people over the weekend, those skeptics figured that Toowoomba was completely washed away and so Easterfest would never happen (or at least would be elsewhere or put off for a few months).  As it is, we have word from the Easterfest official website (http://www.easterfest.com.au/article/toowoomba-floods/) that it’s all going to continue going ahead in April on Easter weekend.

The deaths and horror stories coming out of Toowoomba still make it hard to even think about the town without being saddened, but it’s good to know the people who live and work there are still planning for the future.  WE SALUTE YOU!

I’m planning to attend this year, hopefully a little more prepared than I was last year and maybe this year I won’t come down with the worst stomach bug of my adult life.  It was the cockroach pizza I think, probably should have avoided it.  Looks like a pretty decent line up this year, but the absence of the Sons of Korah is going to be felt.  However, they do have Darlene Zschech so it’s all good.
