Researching
I’ve been reading a lot about WoW mages recently as I’ve never had a spellcaster other than a druid (and their rotation used to be four keys). Basically it’s a bit more complex than I first thought. Anyway, while I was reading I ran through a list of mage changes with the buffs etc spelled out (I use the www.elitistjerks.com forums) and while I was reading I suddenly remembered back to my first raiding guild. Even though we had more than enough healers our raid leader always forced me to heal (even though we had another pally heals in the group) even though my DPS was second-highest in the guild (laughably the best DPS in the guild was our offtank, so our top two DPS were heals/tanks).
What bugs me the most is that we didn’t have a Retribution pally in the guild apart from me – I would have brought a 6% increase in DPS to the entire raid, that’s 7 DPS-ers increased by 6% – hardly insignificant. Yeah, just a random thought that bugged me. Personally I think our raid leader was a little worried that it would start arguments among the guild since suddenly a paladin was topping the charts and then the usual “OP” and “NERF” screams would ring out.
Anyway, it’s just one of those things that randomly come out of nowhere when reading something totally irrelevant and makes you go “WTF why did we do that?”.
Random thought while talking to friend: “Maybe it was because we weren’t allowed to DPS that we got so good at it.” XD

::EDIT – This is a rant, you have been warned::
Alright, so I’ve had it up to here with misinformed grouches who know nothing and rant jealously about supposed “middle class” arrogance. Why don’t you people just go and drive yourselves off a cliff and rid the world of your MEANINGLESS DRIVEL!
Holy crapola, just when I thought I’d heard everything, Amanda Vanstone wants to come along and say I’m a middle-class snob who has been treated like royalty, pandered and am riding the lower classes to fame and fortune. Well, you know what I have to say to you, Amanda? I’m a member of the Liberal Party of Australia and you’re definitely not upping our IQ so get out. Are you seriously presenting a case that university students are treated better? That somehow our university fees were ‘cheap’ and that the education interest rate based on the educational CPI (roughly 5% as opposed to the general CPI of 2%) is somehow giving university students an advantage?

iPad 2 release date
Well it looks as if we shall be seeing the iPad in Australia as of the 25th March. On recommendation from one of this site’s administrators I held off on the purchase of v.1 as it was a “gimmick” but I think the time has come to own me one of those little tablets of awesome. I’m still talking about iPad’s in case you’re wondering.
Absolutely none of the features are better except I think the hardware has been improved somewhat. Anyway, I don’t care about features, the point is to own one, because Read the rest of this entry »
The Four and the One
THIS IS AN INSIDE POST FOR A GAME – IF YOU FIND IT INTERESTING THOUGH THEN MY JOB HERE IS DONE.
Breathing heavily the dwarf leaned forward on his axe and surveyed the cavern they had entered. In the flickering lamplight he watched as his dwarven companion shouldered his weapon. Standing in the middle of the floor near the corpse staring interestedly at the fresh meat was a wolf. Ever since they’d found the entrance under the altar the druid had assumed his wolf form.
An old elf stood in the cavern entrance reeling in her rope which she Read the rest of this entry »
